In the course of teaching courses in literature and writing, I write things to students sometimes that I like keep. Sometimes it's about Shakespeare. Sometimes it's about Creation--as in Creative Writing. Sometimes it's about things as mundane as how to write a decent essay. A hodgepodge, to be sure.

- Since 1984, I've been studying the literature of the ancient world, with a particular interest in understanding the greater context within which the perception of spirit has evolved. I took "Xeirmo del Camino" as my pilgrim's name as a result of travels through Spain in 2006. The journey--and the journal--continues.
